TOPIC: Opening the ZIP files

Opening the ZIP files 4 years 4 months ago #346

Hi!
I finally assembled my board (very good instructions) but the downloading of the software is causing me grief. Some message pops up (un-Control C-able message... Thanks femtosoft...) about opening without encoding-yes?-skip... No matter what I answer, the Ginsing sketch folder never appears.

What are the related subtleties, I know you all know them, nobody else has complained about that particular subject :)

Thanks,

SDY

Hi SDY, sorry for the grief. The file is compressed using a standard ZIP format, so I would not expect trouble. Can you tell me what operating system you are using? Also can you tell me what file you are downling?

In case it might be the installation, the source files may be getting moved into our Arduino project home folder; you could test this by running the Arduino IDE and see if the GinSing projects appear in the projects menu.

Windows 7. I'll be home in a few hours and will download on an XT system (the real target system actually) and see if I can get it to talk.

More later...
